The design team at The Box Brand Design, led by Design Director Joey Lo and Art Director Yvonne Chung, took on the challenge of creating a standout brand in the saturated natural skincare market. They focused on the key elements of "Chinese," "local," and "simple" to differentiate Wan Fong Yuen from its competitors.
Using the traditional Chinese ink painting style, the team created patterns and illustrations that represent the brand's connection to Chinese herbal traditions. The soft brush lines and natural colors evoke a sense of purity and simplicity, reflecting the brand's commitment to providing skincare products that are potent and pure.
One of the design highlights is the use of Chinese ink painting to depict elements like ducks on a river, symbolizing the experience of bathing in a natural environment. This unique approach not only creates a visually appealing packaging design but also reinforces the brand's connection to nature and its commitment to using natural ingredients.
The Wan Fong Yuen skincare products were launched online in Hong Kong, following a project that started in June 2016 in Guangzhou, China, and concluded in March 2017. The brand's dedication to Chinese herbal research and its focus on local production in Hong Kong are key factors that set it apart from other natural skincare brands.
